Goals

We have chosen this topic ‘film-making’ because we want our students to realize they belong to a big community with different cultures, habits and believes and communication and dialogue is the way to understand each other. We want our students to shoot their own films as it’s the easiest, simplest and the best way to see and learn each other from their partners’ own perspectives through using media tools. The main goals are:

  • To develop artistic and creative aptitude
  • To improve language  skills by planning and creating a story
  • To enhance skills such as decision-making, research, and planning and to  develop skills in the use of new technologies
  • To develop critical thinking  which helps students as well in the using of traditional media (internet)
  • To develop technical skills like: using 'Windows Movie Maker' software, using a camera, video editing software, digital audio software
  • Create work environments to deal with ICT in a creative and critical way, learning digital tools to produce, transform and publish digital media including moving images and sound. Discussing the free software environment.
  • Personal and social aims: to enhance self-confidence, build teamwork and collaboration
  • Thinking about social consequences related to Visual Media.
  • Promote long-term cooperation among schools and relationships among students, through exchange programmes.
  • Making students get in touch with their partners around Europe, making them conscious about other social realities.
  • Discussing about each educational system, finding ways to improve teaching experiences, propose new work lines.
  • To increase the awareness of tolerance, responsibility for the   future of European citizenship
  • To achieve a successful intercultural exchange and develop students’ personalities in a healthy way.
  • To develop a better knowledge on other cultures, lifestyle, education systems and get profit from that cultural plurality.
