Fourth meeting in Suwalki Poland from April 5 to April 11 2015

All groups arrived at Warsaw airport almost at the same time. Here both teachers and students had greeted each other as old friends. The reference teacher and the headmaster of the school faced a very long journey to Warsaw to come and meet us up.

After a few hours spent in the center of Old Warsaw we took a bus and had a travelled to Suwalki, which is at the north east of Poland. Suwalki is surrounded by woods and meadows and wonderful lakes which made this place some kind of magic for the students.

The school is in the center of the city and it was very easy to reach by all students, and the families were very kind and welcoming.

The main themes of this mobility were “Traditional Food” and “Commercials” about different topics.

Each country prepared a video showing to the other countries how to make a special traditional dish starting from the ingredients the procedures of preparing and the cooking of the dish. Of course each group took some of this food to Poland and we all had the possibility to taste them. Everything of course was presented by students. A second video, this time created by international groups, was about “Commercials.

One of the topics was communication which had as main leitmotiv “Comenius Project”. All footages were edited at school and presented at the end of the mobility.

During the stay the students made many activities such as treasure hunting around the city, reading poetry in different languages (it was a real challenge), art workshops and dancing Polonaise session.

There were outings to Suwlszczyzna, Goldap, Augustow, Wigary where students shot their videos. At school the videos were edited, this time using a different software, and then presented.

Even this mobility gave our students  the possibility to realize that they belong to a wider community than the Sicilian or Italian one. That Europe is made up of different languages, cultures, climate but has one common aim: to create better citizens.
