First meeting in San Cataldo Italy from February 23 to March 2, 2014

Storyboard presentations “Introducing our city”. Students created their own short films or presentations where they introduced the place they come from. All is on our blog.

Film 1 - A story about a typical teenager's life: Our first short films were shot in Palermo where there are more possibilities to show the life of a teenager. Since San Cataldo is a small and not very important town in the centre of Sicily, it could not have been a good setting for our works and of course Italy would have been too big, so we chose the capital of Sicily for this film. Films are uploaded on our blog.

Film 2 – Lost in Italy: We decided to give a regional dimension to our films and to create one more film to give both students and teachers an idea of where they were, what beautiful things we have and of course how many differences there are according to the way of living, eating, behaving and so on, second we meant to give different settings for filming giving a great variety of backgrounds. We visited Palermo, Mount Etna, Taormina and Agrigento to give the students interesting setting and ideas for their filming. Arab-Norman architecture in Palermo, ancient Greek civilization in Agrigento, a medieval town like Taormina and a “moon like” landscape on the top of Mount Etna proved to be excellent settings for the films.

The formation of international groups has given each student the possibility to put into practice what was a simple theoretical knowledge of what communicating in a foreign language means. The work inside the IT lab gave each of them the opportunity to use software, to develop their creativity and to compare ideas and point of views. All films are uploaded on our blog.

Workshop - for students about photo-retouch software.

Working session with the school orchestra – this was a great experience for both the teachers and students.

March 2014: e-Journal: We uploaded the e-journal on our blog, website and Twinspace with information and feedback regarding our first mobility. E-Journal is written by our students.
